TNS Llansantffraid FC moved three points clear at the top of the Welsh Premiership on Tuesday night with a hard-earned 4-2 victory at Newtown AFC.
Wonder of Williams
The league leaders stormed into a two-goal lead inside 27 minutes at Latham Park with Christopher King and John Leah on target. But Mark Williams pulled one back for the home side five minutes before half-time and struck again just before the hour.
Game in hand
TNS rallied, however, and restored their advantage on 63 minutes through striker John Toner before a Steve Rogers effort four minutes from time sealed the win. TNS have a game in hand on second-placed Barry Town AFC, while Newton stayed in tenth position.
