Sunderland manager Roy Keane believes Djibril Cisse is capable of achieving big things at the club.
The Frenchman has scored against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa since arriving on loan from Marseille, and Keane told the club's official website: "I think Djibril is getting stronger week by week. He needed time to settle and he's done that, we've seen a little bit of what he's capable of, we've seen his pace and power.
"It takes time for players to settle in and work out how to get the best out of each other."
Meanwhile, Cisse has supported Keane's stance and believes he can make a strong contribution in the coming months.

He added: "It's a hard league, the best in the world, so I am really proud to be back and playing for Sunderland.
"Football here is a lot quicker and stronger than in France and it's improved so much over the last few years.
"People expect me to score goals and that's what I'm trying to do. At the moment I have two, that's not bad for a new player.
"Hopefully I can add more goals over the next few weeks because we need to pick up a good number of points from our next three games."
Cisse previously played in the Premier League with Liverpool.
