Hansa go into winter break on a high

FC Hansa Rostock moved out of the Bundesliga relegation zone following a 2-0 win over VfL Bochum 1848 while bottom club MSV Duisburg's woes continued after a 1-0 home loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.

First half goals from Kai Bulow (7) and Sebastian Hähnge (43) gave Hansa three vital points to move them out of the bottom three as the German top flight goes into its winter break. Meanwhile, Eintracht moved up three places into ninth in the table after Greek international striker Ioannis Amanatidis scored the only goal against Duisburg six minutes before half-time.
